What is microreactor?

Definition:

      "Microreactor" originally referred to a small tubular reactor used for catalyst evaluation and kinetic research, with a size of about 10 mm.

      Now it mainly refers to the three-dimensional structural elements used for chemical reactions manufactured by micro-processing technology or the highly integrated micro-reaction system including various functions such as heat exchange, mixing, separation, analysis and control, and usually contains an equivalent diameter of the order of magnitude. The fluid flow channels between micrometers and millimeters, chemical reactions occur in these channels, so microreactors are also called microchannel reactors.

Features:

      Using micro-channel/micro-structure precision processing technology, the characteristic size is within hundreds of microns, and the residence time is seconds/milliseconds;

      Enhanced mass transfer: high efficiency, better selectivity;

      Efficient heat exchange: high space-time efficiency, high production efficiency;

      Continuously airtight, fast and controllable: Green chemical engineering, safer and more environmentally friendly, reducing the risk of hazardous chemicals;

      Economical and reliable: low capital investment, low operating cost, low maintenance cost.

Classification:

      Liquid-liquid phase microreactor, gas-solid phase microreactor, gas-liquid phase microreactor, gas-solid-liquid microreactor

The reaction type of the microreactor can be selected:

1. Violent reaction during the reaction

2. Reactions with unstable reactants or products

3. Rapid response to strict requirements for feeding and mixing

4. Dangerous chemical reaction

5. High temperature and high pressure reaction
