Organic Rankine cycle can efficiently recycle low- and medium-temperature waste heat resources, making it economically feasible to recycle waste heat for power generation, which is of great significance for improving my country's energy utilization rate, energy conservation and emission reduction, and environmental protection . The heat exchanger is one of the key equipment in the entire organic Rankine cycle, and its heat exchange efficiency has an important impact on the efficiency of the organic Rankine cycle.


HZSS Technology cooperated with China Nuclear Power Research Institute and leveraged its own advantages to provide heat exchanger-related product technical support for the organic Rankine cycle system prototype developed and designed by the institute, helping the institute to achieve breakthrough progress in the research and development of new nuclear energy systems and efficient energy conversion technologies.


According to the solution requirements of the Nuclear Power Institute, this product uses high-temperature gaseous organic fluid to heat and partially evaporate low-temperature liquid organic fluid, realizing heat recovery of high-temperature gaseous organic fluid, and its expanded heat exchange area is not less than 40%. Shenshi Energy Saving Design and R&D team strictly controlled a series of processes from project initiation to technical drawings, process solutions, core design, and assembly design, and then through processing inspection, laser cutting, vacuum diffusion welding, performance testing, etc., and successfully completed the delivery of diffusion welded plate-fin heat exchanger (PFHE) products.

HZSS Technology PFHE is highly compact, with a volume and weight of only about 1/6 of that of a traditional shell and tube heat exchanger. The core is made of vacuum diffusion welding, with welding strength equal to that of the parent material, no risk of welding plugging, and further enhanced corrosion resistance. It can prevent working fluid mixing, has an ultra-low leakage rate, and has a high heat recovery efficiency, which is more suitable for the organic Rankine cycle system than traditional shell and tube heat exchangers.

On December 14, 2022, the prototype of the organic Rankine cycle system independently developed by the Nuclear Power Institute of China successfully achieved full-power power generation, becoming the first in the world to realize organic Rankine cycle power generation in high-temperature areas.

HZSS Technology received usage feedback from the Nuclear Power Institute. The person in charge of the project mentioned that the heat exchange and pressure reduction of the PFHE designed and manufactured by Shenshi Technology fully meet the operating requirements, the equipment is in good condition and has stable performance.
